Cleveland Clinic London are currently recruiting for 3 Cashiers. The Cashier will support a culture of continuous improvement whilst maintaining high standards within the cashiering function. You will have experience with private hospital cashiering functions including receiving and processing payment from patients and representatives. The post holder will need to be a positive team player who possesses excellent customer service skills and be flexible to adapt to changing priorities.

What we need from you:

• Previous experience in a Private Hospital cashiering/Billing or similar role
• Strong attention to detail
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and excellent telephone manner for patient facing exposure
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel and Word
• Proven knowledge and awareness of collection guidelines, insolvency process and limitations under PCI and GDPR regulations

What the role will entail:

• Provide and maintain an efficient cashiering service for patients and representatives. This involves processing payments received, entering charges and performing billing reviews
• Support the continual development of processes and procedures to improve efficiency
• Accept and process payments received by credit/debit card; cheque and physical cash
• Perform daily cash reconciliation and follow department guideline for variance reporting
• Review unbilled accounts, produce and send/submit invoices for hospital charges and consultant fees to patients, private medical insurance companies (AXA, Bupa etc.) and other third party payers
• Deal with face to face and telephone queries
• Request refunds and adjustments due on patient accounts

Please note, the starting date for this position is as soon as possible and the role will be based entirely on site between Cleveland Clinic London hospital and Cleveland Clinic’s Administrative building in Victoria.

Vaccination as a condition of deployment VCOD
From the 1st April 2022 the updated Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014, which requires vaccination as a condition of deployment (VCOD), comes into effect.

This includes front-line caregivers, as well as non-clinical caregivers not directly involved in patient care but who may have face to face contact with patients. This role is covered by these regulations and therefore you will be required to provide proof of your full vaccination status as part of your pre-employment checks prior to your start date.
