Come and join our vibrant and fast-paced Contract Administration Team, in charge of a variety of administrative processes relating to products negotiated by Lidl to be sold in the UK or exported across Europe and the US.
We are looking for an experienced Assistant Team Manager to support the Team Manager within the Buying Administration department, driving its success and development. The daily decisions you make will prove crucial to our success throughout the UK. What you’ll do

Coordinating one of our contract administration sub-teams
Deputy for one other Assistant Team Manager and joint deputising for the Team Manager on an ad hoc basis
Overseeing and tracking the initiation, contracts & export processes and planning workloads accordingly (for the responsible product categories)
Ensuring that all deadlines are being kept
Dealing with escalations from third parties
Being operationally involved and hands-on in day to day tasks (approx. 70%)
Supporting the Team Manager in ongoing process improvements
Responsibility for the preparation of all personnel tasks for your team incl. recruitment, pay reviews and appraisals
Being the key user in several purchasing systems
What you’ll need

Essential, fluent in English and German with a high level of written and spoken language skills
Essential, previous experience in managing teams is essential
Essential, used to working to schedules and deadlines with the ability to accommodate last minute requests with ease and efficiency
Previous experience in Buying Administration is preferred
Unfazed by fast-paced, busy environments
Ability to handle pressured situations
Highly focused and accurate with an uncompromising eye for detail
Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
Used to working with targets
Excellent computer skills
An analytical & Lean mindset with plenty of sound judgement
