Bouygues Energies & Services is a renowned FM service provider and part of Bouygues Construction, a multi-billion-pound company. We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a TFM General Manager to manage a multi service contract for UK Home Office Building which is also one of our largest PFI contracts.

Some of the duties and responsibilities of the General Manager will involve:

To deliver high quality FM service covering maintenance, cleaning, security and catering within the contract by applying professional expertise and management along with compliance against the contract thus ensuring added value, increased productivity, and cost efficiencies

To manage, maintain and develop existing services and lifecycle strategies to meet the needs of the contract which has 9 years remaining whilst delivering the current business plan

To contribute to the contract by maintaining a close liaison with the client to ensure day-to-day requirements of delivering the contract are met

To exercise financial and commercial controls in the management of expenditure and income within agreed budgets

To maximise profitability of operations and deliver ongoing cost savings

To produce an overall contract budget and be responsible for actual performance against budget and to take remedial action when applicable

Develop opportunities to enhance business and revenue growth within the contract by identifying essential project work

To recruit, select, motivate and develop staff to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and customer service, whilst also ensuring a greater diversity within the team

To achieve a safe environment and practices for clients, staff and others while on the site premises, ensuring compliance with Company and legislative requirements, including Health & Safety and Food Safety

To develop good communication and relationships at all levels within the team and with all colleagues and customers

The candidate will have the following skills, experience, and qualification:

Essential

Needs to be a member of the RICS, CIOB, BIFM or similar

Previous experience in managing a TFM contract at a senior level, with a contract value in excess of £12m

Experience of direct service delivery as a service provider

Will have extensive experience of managing technical/multi-functional teams including strong communication, interpersonal and personnel management skills

Will be adept at financial management with experience of P&L responsibility

Must have strong client management skills, including managing expectations

Good IT and presentational skills

Desirable

Will possess a relevant Apprenticeship, HNC/HND or Degree within mechanical or electrical engineering

Experience of operating a PFI contract and experience in the application and reporting of strict performance measures
