Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has an opportunity for a HR – Policy on a 2 month’s contract with a possibility of an extension.
To be responsible for the policy development of key cultural HR policies within the council.
To be successful in this role you will need to be an organised and confident individual with substantial experience in policy development, working with key stakeholders to scope the current status, assess legal and corporate requirements, through to the implementation of policies and procedures. Ideally you will be CIPD or have relevant substantial experience. You will also have up to date knowledge of employment law and evidence of continuous professional development. You will also need to be able to work in a fast paced, unionised environment with constant changing priorities and demands.
Essential skills and experience
Previous experience in HR policy development
Demonstrated knowledge of current employment law
Excellent problem solving ability and attention to detail
Be able to maintain positive relationship with employees, senior management and stakeholders such as Trade Unions Attitudes
You will have to be self-sufficient and be able to work independently
You will be happy to own and resolve queries
Be resilient to meet the demands of the directorate
