A Legal Secretary is required to assist a busy Residential Property Solicitor in a well established and highly regarded law firm.
This role would suit an experienced Legal Secretary who is currently working, or has an interest in working, within residential conveyancing. Experience as a Legal Secretary with a background in a different area of law may also be considered.
The successful candidate will be assisting the Residential Property fee earner who deals with a wide range of property transactions including buying and selling of freehold and leasehold properties.
Duties will include:
Typing of correspondence and documents
Liaising with clients and other parties
Submitting searches and making Land Registry applications
SDLT Returns
Any administrative duties including file opening and ensuring compliance procedures met
Candidate Requirements:
Experience within residential property although candidates with a different background in the legal profession and with an interest in conveyancing are welcome to apply
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work autonomously as well as part of the team
Experience with case management systems
