2BM Recruitment Ltd are recruiting on a permanent basis on behalf of our client a Global Engineering Manufacturing company for a Press Setter Operator. Excellent opportunity to join an innovative highly successful organisation at the Sheffield manufacturing site.

Job Details:

As a Press Setter Operator, you will be responsible for Setting and Operating up to 3 Power Press Machines and Cutting equipment to manufacture a range of bespoke components in line with customer specifications. You will use basic measuring equipment such as Verniers and Callipers and have the ability to understand engineering drawings. Ensuring products are manufactured to an appropriate standard and specified tolerances to customer satisfaction and maximise production performance. You will retrieve the correct materials and load equipment to meet the demands of the production schedule / Kanban demands. Exchange Press Tools / complete changeovers in line with SMED principles. You will ensure Health & Safety compliance throughout the plant and highlight any issues promptly.

We are looking for a candidate with the following skills / qualifications / attributes:

Candidates must have previous experience of setting and operating press machines, metal forming and production manufacturing. Basic MIG welding or Robot welding knowledge would be advantageous although this is not essential. You will ideally have a PUWER Power Press Certificate or similar although this is not essential and be confident reading engineering drawings. The successful candidate will be a team player with a positive attitude.

Your Pay & Benefits:

Press Setter Operator paying a starting salary of £23,626.00 per annum. Full time role working morning and afternoon shifts on weekly rotation 6am- 2pm and 2pm – 10pm Monday to Friday. Overtime will be paid at premium rates. Benefits package includes 33 days holiday (inc 8 bank holidays), Contributory pension, Healthcare, Parking & Qualifications / training.
