My client is an international leader in providing healthcare products and solutions. They are looking for a commercially focussed proven people leader and a continuous improvement mindset to drive production and logistics operations at their Leeds Operation.

Responsibilities:

To provide overall leadership and management responsibility and accountability for the facility, ensuring that production and logistics capacity is maximised at all times, to ensure first class service for users and patients exceeding contractual standards.

  • The provision of service excellence, at all times and to all customers, with patient, customer and employee safety paramount in all activities.
  • Ensuring continued compliance with all requirements of the MHRA and the Medical Devices Directive 93/42/EEC; maintenance of a fully accredited Quality Management System (ISO 13485).
  • Providing day to day leadership and management of the facility, including the mentoring and development of staff, utilizing influencing skills where appropriate.
  • Working closely and liaising with all key stakeholders, drive effective continuous improvement and lean activities in all operational aspects of the facility, ensuring delivery is ready on-time and represented at all times.
  • Set and manage performance targets and clear deliverables for all direct reports.
  • Establishing a robust junior management team through out all shifts.
  • Forming, developing and maintaining excellent relationships with prospective customers.
  • Implement and cascade effectively the delivery of corporate strategy, and the facility business plan.

About You:

  • Business Qualification – A Level or Equivalent
  • HNC or HND – Desirable
  • Previous Senior Management experience within a large and complex organisation
  • Practical Awareness of change management processes
  • Healthcare related service experience – Desirable
  • Experience of working independently and managing a high workload
  • Proven leadership and management experience including basic application of employment law
  • Lean experience – Essential
  • Practical experience of improvement tools e.g. 5S, Pull systems and Visual management – Desirable
  • Budgetary control experience
  • Management responsibility for an ISO13485 accredited facility – Desirable
