We’re currently looking for a Quarry Operative to join our team at the Jackdaw Crag Quarry.

The Role

As a Quarry Operative, you will support safe and efficient operations and production at Jackdaw Crag Quarry in accordance with health and safety.

Working as part of the Production Team, you will:

– Operate plant in a safe and efficient manner
– Ensure all plant and equipment are maintained appropriately
– Promote environmentally considerate work practices
– Ensure timesheets are recorded accurately and processed in a timely manner
– Ensure all daily inspection books are completed and defects are reported
– Report any accidents, hazards and near misses to the manager

About You

To join us as a Quarry Operative, you will need:

– Quarrying experience, including the operation of plant and machinery
– Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of a quarry plant
– A positive, enthusiastic and flexible attitude
– The proven ability to work as part of a team
– The ability to re-evaluate priorities, responding quickly and positively to change
