JM18 – Stores Controller.
Location – Skelmanthorpe.
Hourly rate – NMW + Benefits

Responsibility – Maintain stores area in an efficient and orderly condition.
Control the on-time delivery and quality of goods purchased by the company.


Goods Receipt:
Maintain adequate quarantine regime for un-inspected and inspected goods
Maintain accurate paperwork control on purchase orders and delivery notes.
Maintain accurate storage and identification of received goods including ROHS reporting and system update.
Observe correct handling procedures for specialist parts – e.g. ESD precautions
Maintain accurate faultfinding reporting for faulty/incorrect/shortages on goods.

Picking and Kitting:
Control of priorities for issues of works orders
Accurate assembly of kits for cutting area, control status of paperwork and stock issue procedures
Notification and control of shortages to cutting area, including accurate maintenance of stock figures.
Safe storage of kits for assembly
Observe correct handling procedures and special area control for specialist parts – e.g. ESD precautions

General Stock Maintenance
Notification and adjustment of stock figures for stock outs either from kitting or as advised by workshop support
Maintain accurate stock figures – examine and identify reasons for shortages and make necessary adjustments
Accurate restocking of parts returned from shop floor.
Annual stocktake support

General and Housekeeping:
Maintain clean and orderly stores and receiving area including entrance area
Organise loading and unloading of van for deliveries
Cover tasks:
Housekeeping – key tasks only
Despatch – key tasks only

Qualifications and skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The work is physically active and requires a high level of personal organization and self-discipline. The ability to work autonomously in an efficient and effective manner, and manage distraction is critical, along with a willingness to collaborate with others in the team to achieve high standards of customer service.

Training: NMW/NLW as applicable
Trained Salary: £9.90 per hour from 01.01.2022 plus up to 3% Support Team Performance Bonus, or NMW/NLW if higher
