Our client, A market leader in the provision of Integrated Stores and Supply Chain Management Solutions for Blue Chip Companies in the UK and Europe is looking for a driven individual to join their Procurement team at their head office, based in Birchwood – Warrington.

You will be required to maintain strong supplier relationships to ethically source and supply world class brands at competitive prices delivering exceptional service. Support Client Relationship Teams in demonstrating world class procurement best practices as required. Continue to develop the established supply chain across multiple MRO categories, utilising both global and local suppliers. This is a key role for our client that works closely with the Client Focussed Teams and Purchasing & Saving Buyers.


* Consistently deliver best price in the marketplace.
* Work closely with SRMs (Supplier Relationship Managers) to deliver supplier annual subscription fees.
* Developing a supply chain in multiple MRO categories to drive competitive and best pricing for our clients.
* Work closely with SRMs to negotiate with suppliers to ensure best pricing and service is consistently provided.
* Utilise data to identify opportunities and drive efficiencies.
* Consistently review process to drive automation.
* Develop strong supplier relationships that mutually benefit suppliers, clients and the business.
* Work closely with SRMs to identify key suppliers (local and global) to support and develop category plans for the marketplace.
* Deliver compliance through the company Preferred Supplier Programme.
* Communicate Supply Chain solutions to the Client Focussed teams and Procurement & Buying Teams
* Support the overall governance of the preferred supplier programs in the marketplace.
* Ensure supplier scorecards/audits are maintained to track & measure performance.
* Work closely with SRMs, implementation and internal support teams to ensure a seamless transition for all new business opportunities.
* To act as the Supplier and Client escalation point.
* To support the SRMs with inputs and data analysis to all new bids.
* To carry out such other duties which are consistent with the nature and responsibilities of the job role.
* Developing and maintaining long term relationships with client and supply partners.
* To consolidate and rationalise the supply base to increase leverage and reduce cost.
* Competitive market pricing and a broad range of products, offering ‘own brand’ alternatives where appropriate.
* Developing cost savings initiatives – Value added solutions.
* Work with SRMs to develop e-procurement supplier catalogues.
* Measurable activities to drive performance both internally and externally.
* Traceability and Corporate Social Responsibility for all supply chain activity.
* To carry out such other duties which are consistent with the nature and responsibilities of the job role.

Experience required:

* Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build long term relationships with clients and suppliers.
* Experienced in data analysis, influencing, and selling concepts.
* Demonstrable successful engagement with relevant parties
* Can demonstrate a collaborative approach; ability to work with and through others across business/functional lines
* Can do attitude – the ambition and drive to challenge, deliver excellence and be positive about change

* Strong ICT skills with proficient use of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
* Good working knowledge of SAP applications
