Technical Architect – TETRA

Due to the recent award and funding approval, we urgently need an experienced Technical Architect to join a small team of industry specialists to scope, set strategy, project delivery requirements and play a key figure in the deployment of a logistically challenging TETRA network in the South East.

Acting as the Lead Architect, you will be responsible for the system development, optimisation and enhancement solutions, from the conceptual phases through to system implementation and handover, that meets customer’s requirements.

You will formulate system strategy, the enhancement programme plan, system descriptions, project documentation and will provide specialist support to the Programme Director.

You will Interface with product teams, multiple stakeholders and third party vendors during the project lifecycle, and work closely with the Field teams to ensure flawless system implementation.

As the Lead Architect, you will take the lead on system requirements and test plan meetings with all relevant stakeholders and the Client and advise on the most effective system deployment and functionality roll-out.

Background and experience

Degree, H.N.C, or equivalent in an Electronic Engineering, or related discipline (Telecommunications)

Extensive Systems Engineering experience gained from working in a major project environment on TETRA network infrastructure.

Experience of working in multi-vendor/ integration projects, advise and influence multi-stakeholder clients.

Knowledge of Trunked Radio/ Cellular/ Wireless / DMR / TETRA technologies, and knowledge and experience of main mobile Public Safety network infrastructure.

This is anticipated to be a long-term contract with excellent day rates, with an immediate start.
